Lemongrass Steamed Pomfret (Bawal)

15 minutes cooking. Eat 2.


What you need:

  1. 1 medium size pomfret fish

  2. 4 Cloves garlic

  3. 8 Slices ginger

  4. 1 tbsp Galanggal's lemongrass jam

  5. 2 tbsp soy sauce

  6. 1/8 tsp salt

  7. 2 tbsp vegetables oil

  8. 1 tbsp Lemon juice

  9. Lemon slices (optional)

  10. Spring onions / red chillies for garnishing.


Methods:

  1. Combined lemongrass jam and lemon juice. Pour onto fish.

  2. Slice garlic and place onto fish.

  3. Steamed fish till tender, approximately for 8 to 10 minutes.

  4. Slice thinly ginger and fried till golden brown.


While the fish is steaming, in a small bowl, mix all the ingredients below, set aside.

  1. 1 tbsp Galanggal's Lemongrass jam

  2. 2 tbsp soy sause

  3. 1/8 tsp salt

  4. 2 tbsp vegetables oil.









When the fish is ready, drizzle the soy mixture over the fish, garnish with spring onions, red chilies and serve immediately. Enjoy!
